Located in the main lobby of Sunway Resort, this dramatic dining destination represents the centrepiece of this luxury hotel’s once-in-a-generation transformation. The new partnership with Gordon Ramsay Restaurants forms part of Sunway Group’s strategic vision to introduce world-class dining to Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, the iconic integrated destination that comprises three hotels, a theme park, retail mall, healthcare and residential spaces, and even three universities, ensuring extraordinary experiences for every guest.
Upon opening, Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill will transport guests into a world of upmarket elegance and understated opulence. The interior design concept, which was overseen by Nelson Yong, Chief Principal Designer of Sunway Design, blends Gordon Ramsay’s British heritage with the grandeur that characterises the new-look Sunway Resort. Truly exceptional restaurants need to deliver a touch of theatre, and Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill will ignite the senses and create culinary journeys that will leave a lasting impression and live long in the memory.
A stroll along the chic streets of Mayfair, a browse through the designer boutiques of Chelsea’s King’s Road, or a walk through the vibrant lanes of Soho; this is London at its finest – dashing, daring and debonair. Black and white images of British icons from the “Swinging Sixties” line the walls, including Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, legendary fashion models Twiggy and Jean Shrimpton, and of course Sean Connery, the original 007. These monochrome portraits by celebrated photographers Terry O'Neill and Arthur Steel provide a real sense of refinement.
Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill presents a series of distinct spaces, from the grand dining room with its polished walnut flooring, brass finishes and semi-private seating booths, to the glittering cocktail bar with floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views of the Sunway Lagoon. The vibrant red and dark green colour scheme juxtaposes the upbeat vibe of 21st Century living with the timeless grace of a bygone era. Every element, from the lighting, flooring and wall finishes to the tables, chairs, tableware and cutlery, has been individually tailored to enhance the atmosphere, capturing the essence of the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill concept.
